Stirling Clark learned his trade in Mid Canterbury and has spent more than 20 years on building sites around Methven and the foothills. He set up Mt Hutt Construction in 2021, and the company was incorporated in 2023 as the work grew into full architectural builds.
We keep the company small on purpose. Stirling is the Licensed Building Practitioner on every job. He works with one apprentice and a group of long-standing local subcontractors, so you get the same electricians, plumbers and roofers year after year. You deal with one person from quote to handover, and he’s the one doing the building.
We build for the Canterbury climate. That means nor’westers, hard frosts, snow loads in the foothills and strong sun. We pick materials and details that will last in those conditions.
You deal with Stirling from start to finish. He quotes the job, builds it and takes your calls.
